So many novels feature male characters. We follow his journey and relate, but it’s especially fun for me when women lead the adventure or solve the mystery. I began my reading life with Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Nancy Drew. Jo March in Little Women. I went on to admire Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and the intrepid time traveling Dr. Madeleine Maxwell in Jodi Taylor’s The Chronicles of St. Mary’s series.
